Authors' Calendar - Search by name, area, time. Biographies also include some critical commentary and complete bibliography.
Poets.org - In addition to poetry, left frame loaded with related articles i.e. prose, contemporaries, etc.
Donna Campbell American Literature Site - Extensive site for American authors with links to other resources.
Modern American Poetry - Focused site with great variety of links for each poet; biography, commentary on individual poems, commentary on movements.
Luminarium - Great for English Literature.
Victorian Web - For all authors writing during the Victorian period.
Voice of the Shuttle - Massive list of links; some dead links are not cleaned out.
